Announcing #ChefConf 2013 Keynotes, Sponsors, and Awards

We’re heading into our second annual user conference and we couldn’t be more excited about our speaker lineup and sponsoring partners. But, before I get into all that, please remember Early Bird Pricing ends March 10th, so register today!

Now, with that out of the way, I’m excited to announce our first-ever Awesome Community Chef Awards, honoring those in the Chef Community who have made the biggest and most important contributions to advancing the open source Chef platform in the past year. Nominate a fellow community member and read more about the awards here. We’ll announce the winners at #ChefConf and shower them with praise and rockin’ prizes!

Besides our inaugural awards, we’ve also lined up dynamite keynotes from awesome Chefs at Disney, Facebook, General Electric, Nordstrom, Forrester Research, Riot Games and more. In all, more than 30 companies will be presenting on best practices for using Chef in IT operations, cloud architecture, and application development. From succeeding with Chef in Windows environments, to insights on cultural change, to creating continuous app delivery pipelines, this year’s #ChefConf is packed to the brim with amazing content. Though the schedule is still evolving, you can already view many of the different sessions and presentation topics in the Program Agenda. Even more detailed info will be coming soon.

We’ve got some great workshops lined-up for Wednesday, too! Get an introduction to using Chef to manage Linux or Windows servers, learn about Chef Deployment on OpenStack, or dive deep with our Chef Cookbook Authoring Workshop. For something different, check out our workshop on the Incident Command System (ICS). Ron Vidal and a team of industry experts will introduce you to this framework that will help you survive a ‘Bad Day’ Event.

Finally, we have tons of cool sponsors this year, offering a wide range of technologies and solutions for just about every IT challenge. From folks like Amazon Web Services, Citrix, Google, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Rackspace, Splunk, and VMware to new innovators like AppFirst, Arista Networks, Circonus, Electric Cloud, Engine Yard and many more, whatever tools you need to solve your infrastructure challenges, #ChefConf has you covered. You can see all our sponsors on the #ChefConf site.

What more can I say? #ChefConf 2013 is going to be awesome! Look forward to seeing you there!
